Many lung diseases such as lung cancer, asthma, emphysema and bronchitis have been attributed to using cannabis. As research continues a growing number of lung diseases are being added to the list.

The psychological effects of smoking marijuana are more of a problem when cannabis is still being used. The most common problems are short term memory loss and paranoia. Persistent users are at risk of developing depression, anxiety attacks and at worst psychotic symptoms. Long term effects can be frequent depression and studies have shown that there is a probable link to Alzheimer.
